Behind The Scenes: Who modelled for us at our most recent shoot?

We recently shot our new party jewellery collection, some of which lands next month. The collection features a mix of classic and statement jewellery pieces that have been designed for you to dress up - party style. 

Some of the new earring charms are conversation starters bound to catch the eye. Others are more subtle - some might say, elegant. 

We worked with three models to bring new and original party pieces alive. Over the course of the day there were new faces as well as an original one. Our models are the perfect ambassadors for the brand - each unique personalities with their own style and distinct look. 

Alice

Alice wears the Gold Simple Chain (45cm) with a Gold Ada charm added.

We first met Alice modelling at Bristol’s Arts Show Fuze in 2020 just before lockdown started. Fuze was an epic fashion, dance and vocal show produced by Bristol University students to an astoundingly high standard. 

Alice has modelled for us on multiple occasions and now works as a part-time professional model. Her interest in fashion manifests itself through multiple routes: modelling, selling clothes on her Depop and finally, working part-time for fashion rental brand Hurr. Alice is passionate about sustainable fashion and loves working with small businesses.

“Circularity in fashion is important in the current climate crisis. Renting and selling second-hand clothing online enables us to reduce our impact on the environment. It also allows us to be more experimental and unique with our fashion choices."

"I love that the vintage items I sell are hard to find and therefore unique. I also love modelling as it offers a different insight into the industry and allows me to work with wonderful creative people.” 

What’s your favourite new item in the party collection? 

I loved the new Caggie charm (coming soon) paired with the Celeste Gold Huggie. I also loved the black pearl (coming soon) on the Gold Bobble Chain - so elegant! 

Alice wears a Gold Aurora charm on the Mindy Gold Hoops, Calypso Hoops with a Black Eve (coming soon) and a cuff (coming in December). She also wears the Gold Simple Chain (35cm) and the Gold Bobble Chain (45cm) with a Black pearl charm (coming soon). 

Which video did you like filming best? 

My favourite video would have to be the ‘balloon pop’. It was so fun to film and I loved watching the other girls' reactions - so authentic : ) [Stay tuned on our social channels for 'balloon pop' videos...]

What was your highlight from the day? 

I love working with the NUE Hoops team. The environment is always very comfortable and relaxed which is key to modelling. It doesn't feel like I'm working, it just feels like I'm having a fun day getting creative with friends. As a NUE Hoops customer I also love seeing the new charms before they're released. And of course the champagne is an added bonus!

Pia 

Pia is new member of the NUE Hoops family. We connected with her on Instagram this year. Now a pal of the brand, she's helped us grow our exposure by promoting our jewellery to her following (Calypso Hoops, Shaun and Eve; all in silver, are her personal favourites).  

Pia works in styling and costume for TV commercials, music videos and magazine editorials.

She's worked with a few notable names and brands, including working on the Anthony Joshua x Under Armour ads, the popular grime-esque ASDA Back to School commercial (!); as well as assisting on Dua Lipa’s ‘Love Again’ music video and Rag’n’Bone Man’s ‘Alone’ music video. 

Pia's many piercings make for a fun styling opportunity. She delighted the team during the shoot by sharing pictures and videos of her two adorable dogs (a pug, and pug french bulldog cross). Also invaluable: having her help with styling and outfits in the lead-up and on the day.

What was your favourite jewellery from the day?  

Definitely the Blair Silver Hoops. They’re so chunky. I mostly wear silver so they’re the ones for me. I am trying to work a mix of gold pieces back into my jewellery collection though so I do also love the Mindy Gold Hoops.

Which outfit did you like modelling best?

The velvet cow print jumpsuit. It was the perfect length for me (rare in jumpsuits). This particular jumpsuit is a few years old, from Finery but feels very on trend. I also loved the green patent trucker jacket! (Pia’s own) which was such a good find (from & Other Stories).

Olivia 

Olivia is a professional actor, singer, dancer and model. She’s most famous for her role in Penny on M.A.R.S, which aired on the Disney Channel. She worked with us to bring to life a number of looks including charms such as Gabriel and Ada as well our new Little Black Dress collection (coming in November). 

Olivia wears a Silver Simple Chain (35cm), a Silver Christopher charm on a Silver Bobble Chain (45cm).  

Olivia wears Gabriel Silver on the Mili Silver Hoop, a Callie Silver Huggie and a cuff (coming in December). 

Olivia wears: Ada Silver on the Black Enamel Hoop (coming in November), the Mini Silver Hoop with an Eve in Black (coming in November) and a cuff (coming in December). Around her neck she wears a Silver Simple Chain (35cm), a Silver Christopher charm on a Silver Bobble Chain (45cm).
